Catamaran C-CAT48 under sails

A little history…

Born in the 60’s, COMAR is one of the emblematic brands of the Italian nautical industry with a production of more than 5,000 monohulls in the first decades of its launch. Taken over in 1998 by Massimo and Flavia Guardigli, the current owners, the shipyard is oriented towards a new generation of sailing yachts that skilfully blend style and fluid lines with luxurious fittings, served by state-of-the-art technology.

This philosophy has resulted in a number of monohull models from 21 to 125 feet, with increasingly elegant lines, refined interiors and velocity on the water.

These magnificent birds of the sea have won numerous successes in regattas and cruising races, and it is quite naturally in 2015 that the collaboration with naval architect Marc Lombard allowed the genesis of the first catamarans named Comet Cat 37.

Since then, other architects such as Enrico Contreas and François Perus have joined the team, bringing even more experience and modernity to the development of the C 48 – C 56 – C62 and 80 Explorer modelés, all of which are produced at the historic shipyard in Fiumicino, Italy.

Know-how, Made in Italy…

Technology and craftsmanship: the know-how and experience of highly qualified specialists allow us to maintain high standards and deliver a unique product.

The majority of the parts used in the boats are custom-made in the shipyard, from the hull to the woodwork, from the hatches and portholes to the various steel parts.

Passion for motivation, a brand that listens to its customers…

C-Cats DesignersThe shipyard is managed by a passionate and attentive team. The needs of each customer are carefully studied and a set of specifications is defined with him.

The future owner is accompanied in his project from the first meeting and the definition of the boat, the personalized choices, the design of the fittings, the deck plan and the electronics, with the design office and the team of engineers of the shipyard, until the delivery and the setting in hands after the tests.

During construction the team closely follows all phases of the construction and reports to the client.

After delivery, the owner retains a privileged relationship with the yard for after-sales service, any modifications he wishes to make and any technical assistance he may require.
